If you celebrate Thanksgiving I hope you had a great holiday with friends and family! I feel a bit bad about the topic of today’s post since it’s about the new pieces I picked up for fall … but fall isn’t exactly happening anymore, at least not here in Michigan. So apologies for all of you living in climates like mine – this is probably too late for you. But for any of you lucky people living somewhere where there isn’t snow on the ground and it’s still above 30 degrees maybe there’s still hope you can use this as style inspo!
First off is item one – my Kara backpack. This has to be the absolute favorite thing I’ve added to my wardrobe this season. Partly because it’s the perfect combination of aesthetics and functionality, but more because it was a gift from my boyfriend for our 5th anniversary (if you’re reading this I love you!). I have a ton to say about this backpack, but I don’t want to make this post too long-winded so I might have to give this bag its own review. To keep it short I love the few different ways you can wear it, I love how much it can carry, and I love the color. Burgundy is a classic go-to for fall, but for some reason I can really see myself wearing this with simple neutral outfits in the summer too. Rave reviews all around! Oh and as a side note this bag is around $400 at full price which I find kind of insane and would never expect someone else to pay for, so luckily I managed to find one for more than half off preloved.
Item two – this fluffy and surprisingly warm shearling and denim jacket from Topshop. Teddy coats, borg coats, or whatever you want to call them took the fashion scene by storm last season and clearly are here to stay. They always look very cuddly, but I’m not sure the look is for me so this denim hybrid was a great way to incorporate the trend into my wardrobe. It’s not cut out for Michigan winter, but it’s been great for layering in fall which brings me to my last piece…
Item three – this colorful striped cropped sweater from asos. While I’m sometimes wary of stripes, the thick stripes and crop right above the waist make this sweater especially flattering. I meant to get some pictures without the jacket, but it was ridiculously cold so hopefully you can just take my word for it. The colors are quintessentially fall and I love the Nancy-from-Stranger-Things vibe.
Alright, that’s all I’ve got for this week! I’ll link these pieces down below as always. Now that the temperatures are dropping I’ll be switching from fall to winter style posts so check back here to see what’s coming your way!
